Teaching and Philosophy:

Laura is experienced in teaching children and adults. She likes to recognize the student’s interest and enjoys accommodating requests into the lesson plan. She teaches a variety of styles (classical, jazz, pop, etc), and also teaches the development of ones’ own style. During a lesson. she teaches reading music, theory, and encourages composition. Composition is really no big deal – the simplest phrase can be beautiful, or fun, or rhythmic- whatever the person is looking for. Her students work to achieve a solid foundation as well as strength to create.

Laura has worked as a bas-relief portrait sculptor for 15 years. She also enjoys Taiji.
