MUSIC ROYALE BRASS & WOODWINDS LESSONS

Whether you are just starting school band or are an advanced player looking to further your skills, Music Royale has an instructor for you. We at Music Royale have gathered some of Central Ohio’s finest brass and woodwind instructors including instructors with doctorate degrees and college professors. We offer lessons for clarinet, saxophone, flute, oboe, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, french horn and baritone as well as other brass and woodwind instruments. Our instructors teach many styles of music including classical and jazz. Lessons at Music Royale are scheduled month to month, with no long contracts and you can start lessons at any time. We believe that anyone with a passion for music should have an opportunity to play, including students with physical disabilities or special needs. Every student is unique and your lessons should be too.

Music Royale is a proudly independent music store owned and operated by local, professional musicians. We are located at 480 W Olentangy St in Powell, Ohio, just west of the intersection of Sawmill Parkway and Powell Road, and only minutes from Columbus, Worthington, Dublin, Lewis Center and Delaware. Instructors

Ben Guegold

Instruments Taught: Brass, Trumpet

Ben brings a wealth of teaching experience to his students. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The Ohio State University, he taught undergraduate trumpet students, led studio classes, and sat on audition committees. His teaching expertise includes creating personalized lesson plans, establishing fundamentals, and preparing students for marching band, OMEA competitions, placement auditions, as well as the college audition process.

Dr. Gaby Valladares

Instruments Taught: Piano, Woodwinds, Clarinet, Alto saxophone, Tenor saxophone

Dr. Gaby has taught a wide range of students and has experience teaching elementary, middle, high school, and university level students. She served as a graduate associate in OSU’s clarinet studio and has experience teaching a wide range of instruments, from clarinet to piano and saxophone.

Emily Mulvany

Instruments Taught: Woodwinds, Oboe

Emily’s goal as a teacher is to help each student reach their oboe goals in an environment that challenges them to be their best, and that emphasizes the fun of playing music.

Katey Hardesty

Instruments Taught: Piano, Woodwinds, Flute, Clarinet, Alto saxophone

Katey Hardesty is a graduate of Capital University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Saxophone Performance and Jazz Studies. She grew up on Coshocton, Ohio where she learned how to play saxophone, flute, clarinet, and piano.

Miranda Demos

Instruments Taught: Woodwinds, Flute

Miranda loves helping flute students of all ages build and improve foundational techniques that they can carry with them throughout their musical journey. She believes that playing the flute starts and ends with a beautiful tone, and finds it very rewarding to help students develop their own.

Tim Perdue

Instruments Taught: Brass, Trombone, Trumpet, Baritone/Euphonium, French Horn

Tim Perdue received his Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from the Conservatory of Music at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio in 1991, and has since been teaching privately in the Columbus area. He is available for lessons in all levels of trumpet performance (beginning to advanced), music theory, jazz improvisation and beginning- to intermediate-level studies on other brass instruments (french horn, trombone, euphonium, etc.).
