Since 2003, Music Royale’s Rock School has been giving students a behind the curtain look at what it’s like to be a professional musician. We take care of the challenging details band face – organizing musicians, providing professional equipment, scheduling rehearsals and booking a “gig”, allowing students to focus on working together and preparing for their live performance.

Rock School starts quarterly throughout the year and culminates with a concert on the big stage at The Lazy Chameleon. Not only do the students get the experience of being in a band and playing a live gig, but all of their accomplishments are professionally recorded and edited, with each student receiving a copy of the performance. Rock School has been credited with helping launch the careers of many professional local musicians as well as musicians now working in Nashville, New York, and Los Angeles. Most importantly, Rock School is a great opportunity for students of all ages to build confidence, learn teamwork, and have a lot of fun all while improving their musical ability!

Rock School is a unique musical experience and is a big part of why Music Royale has been named one of the Top 100 music stores in the country.

Rock School has drawn students from all over Central Ohio including Powell, Dublin, Westerville, Worthington, Hilliard, Delaware and Grove City. Students do not need to take lessons at Music Royale to participate in the Rock School class, however, private lessons are highly encouraged.

Music Royale is located just three and a half miles north of 270 in Powell, Ohio at the intersection of Sawmill Parkway and Powell Road. We are just a few minutes from Columbus, Worthington, Dublin and Delaware and we have plenty of parking. Music Royale is a proudly independent music store owned and operated by local, professional musicians.
