Tim Perdue

Tim Perdue received his Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from the Conservatory of Music at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio in 1991, and has since been teaching privately in the Columbus area. He is available for lessons in all levels of trumpet performance (beginning to advanced), music theory, jazz improvisation and beginning- to intermediate-level studies on other brass instruments (french horn, trombone, euphonium, etc.). Tim offers flexible courses of study tailored to each students needs. Lessons focus on learning the basic skills and techniques needed for playing the instrument, as well as additional work in other areas of interest to the student, including marching band, concert band, jazz band, orchestra and solo literature.

 

In addition to teaching, Tim stays busy working as a professional trumpet player in Columbus and beyond. In addition to leading his own jazz trio/quartet, he has performed regularly with many groups including Vaughn Wiester’s Famous Jazz Orchestra, the Rick Brunetto Big Band, Honk Wail & Moan, the Chad Rager Modern Big Band, and the New Remnants Dance Orchestra. His interest in diverse styles of music has led him to perform with such diverse groups as and the Columbus Jazz Orchestra, Conspiracy, the JuJuBees, Yumbambe, the Mazel Tov Orchestra, and the Capital University Faculty Brass Quintet, among many others. Career highlights include touring the United States with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, traveling to Thailand with Honk Wail & Moan as part of the Southern Thailand Jazz and Blues Festival, cruising Asia and Alaska with Royal Cruise Lines Odyssey Orchestra, and playing at the Knitting Factory in New York City with Honk Wail & Moan.

 

Tim also works regularly as a session player and has appeared on many local artists’ albums, including those by the Famous Jazz Orchestra, Honk Wail & Moan, Molly Pauken, Andy Woodson, Log, Fred Haring and Quinn Fallon.

Seth Daily

Seth Daily has been playing percussion since he was five years when he played snare drum with a community orchestra. Seth also studied percussion at Music Royale and participated in Music Royale’s very first Rock School session. Seth went on to graduate from Capital University in 2012 with a degree in Jazz Studies, Professionally, Seth has performed with the likes of Roger Hines, Bobby Shew, Mark Colby, Byron Stripling, Sunny Wilkinson as well as being contracted as a musician for CATCO musicals, and he has recorded music for several albums. In addition to playing and recording, Seth has also composed music for big bands, video games, and small ensembles. He currently plays with 6 local bands, and is regularly called for jazz gigs. Seth has taught all over Ohio, with marching bands, elementary schools, and various music camps.

Larz Raymond

Larz is a graduate of Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California, where he specialized in drums and percussion, with continued education at Berklee College of Music and Capital University. Larz began playing at age 5 and began performing professionally at age 14. He played snare drum in the Lancaster High School marching band where he also performed in symphonic band, percussion ensemble, jazz band and pep band.

His recordings with a variety of bands and artists over the years have been released on indie, major and local labels in addition to self-releases. Other recording sessions include commercials and jingles for clients such as Ross Laboratories, C.O.S.I., and ESPN2, as well as studio work with Los Angeles platinum engineer/producer John Henning. Throughout his performance career, Larz has played across the United States in Alaska, Chicago, New York, Nashville, New Orleans, Hollywood, and here in Ohio at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He currently maintains an active local performance career in the Central Ohio area. Larz enjoys teaching beginners to advanced students in all styles and of all ages and has been doing so professionally for the past 20 years.

Dylan Cole

Dylan was born in Columbus and was raised in Lewis Center, Ohio. He began taking guitar lessons at Music Royale in 2006. He developed a passion for playing guitar by participating in multiple Rock School workshops. After graduating high school Dylan attended the Recording Workshop in Massieville, Ohio. Once he completed the CORE program he moved to Los Angeles to attend The Musicians Institute to study Guitar Performance and Audio Engineering.

Dylan received an Associates Degree in Guitar Performance and Audio engineering in 2014 and then moved back to Columbus to start his career in the music industry. In 2015, Dylan began teaching guitar lessons at Music Royale and later that year Dylan was also hired on as a Sales Associate.

Outside of his music career, Dylan enjoys spending as much outdoors as possible. Hiking, backpacking, camping, and boating are among his favorite activities.

Dean Inboden

Dean is an experienced musician who has been playing guitar for over thirty five years. In that time, he has performed with members from Lawrence Welk including Dick Dale, Jackie Martin, the Texas Troubadours, the Hager Twins, and Kenny Price among others. For the past twenty years, Dean has taught in various locations around Columbus and is able to teach most styles of music to any age or experience level. When Dean isn’t in the teaching studio, he can be found at Rome Recording where he has been an engineer and studio musician for over seventeen years.
